1. What we collect

TaxClear's free tools (OIC calculator, penalty calculator, notice decoder) work entirely in your browser. We do not collect or store the numbers you enter into those tools.

If you submit the optional lead form to be connected with a tax professional, we collect the information you provide (name, email, phone, and a brief description of your situation) solely to facilitate that referral.

2. How we use your information

Information submitted via the lead form is shared with licensed tax relief professionals who may contact you about your situation. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

3. Analytics

We use self-hosted Umami analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, referrers). Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

4. Cookies

TaxClear does not use tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking scripts.

5. Data retention

Lead form submissions are retained for up to 90 days for referral fulfillment purposes, then deleted.

6. Your rights

You may request deletion of any information you submitted via the lead form by contacting us at privacy@taxclearanceguide.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
